Welcoming Shores by Artist Simon Bull

"On a visit to the Greek Islands, I spent some time painting on the beautiful island of Hydra. It was a few months later when I placed a canvas on the easel and began to paint 'Welcoming Shore.' As I painted, the blues grew more intense and the hustle and bustle of the port became strangely quiet. It seemed that the place took on the feeling of a place from a dream and it spoke to me of arriving somewhere intensely beautiful, with the steps beckoning to proceed into even greater things that lay ahead just around the corner." -Simon Bull
