The story of the butterfly life cycle is so inspiring: the idea of a caterpillar ‘dying' inside its tiny chrysalis tomb only to emerge more beautiful and free than ever before resonates with truth. As I write this, my mind is filled with the news that I heard only a few moments ago of a dear friend who has been called home after a struggle with cancer. As I think of the butterfly, I think of my friend, transformed, beautiful and free, feeding on the nectar of eternity, home in the heart of God, his ultimate and perfect destiny.
